Realme GT Neo confirmed with 64MP Sony IMX682 camera

Realme started the month with the release of its Realme GT flagship smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 888. Now, it will end in March with the release of the Realme GT Neo featuring the MediaTek 1200 chipset. The Neo will be even cheaper than the Snapdragon 888-powered smartphone, but will also pack some impressive specifications. Yesterday, the company confirmed that the Realme GT Neo will pack a 64MP primary camera. Now, it has revealed that it will use a Sony IMX682 sensor. The company also shared some photo samples.

According to the Chinese smartphone maker, the main unit supports multi-frame synthesis technology. It improves the details of the pictures and lets you zoom in to an image and crop it without losing sharpness and clarity. It essentially makes it a small telephoto lens. You can have a look at the performance of this camera looking at the images below:

Realme GT Neo alleged specifications

The Realme GT Neo will pack the other two sensors which purpose is yet to be revealed. As above mentioned the phone will have its performance ensured by the excellent MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. This chipset is based on a 6nm architecture and brings high-performance Cortex-A78 cores. The phone will also come to impress the gaming department thanks to 4D vibrations and a 3D tempered liquid cooling system. This tempered liquid cooling system consists of stainless steel and copper to reduce the temperature by up to 15° C.

The phone will be paired with 6GB of RAM, but we assume that there will a higher version with 8GB of RAM. We assume that users will be able to pick variants with 128GB and 256GB of Internal Storage. We’re not sure, however, if the phone will support microSD cards for further memory expansion.

A few posters shared by Realme also revealed a USB-C port at the bottom joined by a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Realme GT Neo will run Android 11 straight out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 running on top. The phone has a 6.55-inch display and as usual, it will have a top-left aligned punch hole. We also expect a battery bigger than 4,400mAh with up to 65W of fast-charging. Other details are still unknown at the moment, but we do know that, unlike the Realme GT, the Neo will come faster to other countries outside of China.
