Galaxy A21s gets One UI 3 update sooner than we expected

Galaxy A21s

Back in May 2020, Samsung launched its budget smartphone dubbed Galaxy A21s in numerous regions. The affordable smartphone comes with Android 10 based One UI 2.0 out-of-the-box. Well, a new major software update has now started making its way to the smartphone. Yes! we’re talking about the Android 11 with One UI 3 skin on top. What’s more surprising is the fact that the rollout begun quite earlier than it was scheduled for.

Samsung rolls out Android 11 to the Galaxy A21s smartphone!

One UI 3.0

Originally, the One UI 3 update for the Galaxy A21s smartphone was scheduled for the month of May 2021. With Samsung being on the roll for the past couple of months, the update is rolling out two months early. This is not the first time we’re hearing about something like this. In fact, Samsung did it with Galaxy Tab S6, Tab S6 Lite, and A50s. As of now, the update is currently rolling out in South Korea only but it should make its way to other regions as well.

Considering it’s a major update, we recommend using stable WiFi connectivity to download it.  There’s no information as to which security patch the update is bundled with. If you have some clue, then please make sure to let us know using the comments down below. If you reside in South Korea and own the device, then you might have already received the update notification.

Alternatively, you can always check for updates manually by heading over to Settings>>Software Update>>Download and Install. If you still don’t receive the update, then there’s a chance that Samsung might be rolling it out in batches. Generally, this is done to make sure the release doesn’t cause any unforeseen issues.

The chaebol has already rolled out One UI 3 with Android 11 on multiple devices across several segments. Furthermore, the company is now bringing some Galaxy S20-exclusive camera features to older flagships. To top things off, it has recently rolled out some camera and device improvements to the Galaxy S21 trio.

Looking at the current trends, it is safe to say that Samsung has significantly improved its software game over the last couple of years.
