Recently, Piper Sandler conducted survey and found out many interesting facts concerning the smartphone users. Especially, their survey refers to teens who are going to acquire their first or second smartphone. It turns out 9 out of 10 teens use iPhone instead of an Android-powered smartphone.

They have conducted survey of more than 7,000 teenagers in the United States. Surprisingly, 88% of the respondents said that they have an iPhone. 90% of the respondents want to buy an iPhone as their next phone.

Those teens also think that apart from the cash payment, Apple Pay is the second most popular payment method. But they also like using Venmo.

But not all Apple products outrun their competitors. Say, Apple TV+ should pass a long way before reaching Netflix and YouTube. The latter two are the most popular ways to consume video.

Here is some information on the survey that was conducted:

The Piper Sandler Taking Stock With Teens®survey is a semi-annual research project that gathers input from 7,000 teens with an average age of 16.1 years. Discretionary spending patterns, fashion trends, technology, and brand and media preferences are assessed through surveying a geographically diverse subset of high schools across the U.S. Since the project began in 2001, Piper Sandler has surveyed more than 201,800 teens and collected over 49.7 million data points on teen spending.

However, we should admit that the survey results referring to the iPhone users are in line with the report from SellCell. The latter found that brand loyalty with Apple hit an all-time high in 2020. The source claims 92% of customers are loyal to Apple as a brand, an increase from 90.5% of customers in 2019.
