Apple’s online store has begun maintenance in preparation for a big sale tonight. According to reports, the company will commence pre-orders for the purple iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, and Apple AirTag at 8 o’clock tonight in China. Before new products go on sale, Apple usually takes its online store offline to prepare for large orders.
In the “Come in Spring” event on Tuesday, Apple announced the long-awaited AirTag item tracker. This device can be placed on wallets, keys, cameras, etc. With this device, you can easily track the item if you eventually misplace the item. All tracking will be done in the Find My app.
The Apple AirTags is 229 yuan ($35) for a single piece and 779 yuan ($120) for four pieces. You can also engrave whatever you want on the body of this device. It uses a replaceable CR2032 battery and can last for one year. Furthermore, it comes with an IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating.
As for the purple iPhone 12 and mini, except for the different colours, they are the same as the existing iPhone 12 and 12 mini. The iPhone 12 mini starts at 5499 yuan ($847) and the iPhone 12 starts at 6299 yuan ($970).
There is no indication that the Apple AirTags or purple iPhone models will be available in limited quantities. However, the first outright sales of these devices will take place in China on April 30th. On that date, you may not have any stocks left after the pre-orders.
