This morning, Xiaomi Group partner, and Redmi brand general manager, Lu Weibing released some information about the Redmi K40 gaming version. According to him, the Redmi K40 gaming version will use a more expensive screen solution at all costs. He reveals that this smartphone comes with an OLED flexible screen straight screen. This display uses an ultra-thin chin and three narrow bezels. Furthermore, it supports a high refresh rate, high touch sampling rate, and high image quality. The first real image of this smartphone recently appeared online.

Specifically, the AMOLED flexible straight display of this smartphone will support a 1.07 billion color display. Furthermore, it will support 8192 brightness adjustment, HDR10+, P3 color gamut, and a 120Hz high refresh rate. This single punch-hole display has a high 144Hz refresh rate.

From what we already know, the Redmi K40 gaming version will use the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip. However, this chip will be optimized and its output will be higher than the regular version. This processor is MediaTek’s top-of-the-line chipset for the first half of 2021. The device packs a Cortex-A78 core clocked at 3.0GHz plus three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz plus four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The chipset is based on 6nm architecture. The chipset also has an ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which should provide great gaming performance. MediaTek also equips this chip with its HyperThread 3.0 technology for optimal performance on games.

This smartphone also comes with a pop-up shoulder button that allows instant switching of game modes. In addition, the Redmi K40 gaming version also has a perfect 4-finger control. In addition, the Redmi K40 gaming version has a very slim body with a metal frame. It also supports a sid fingerprint sensor which is quite good for gaming devices. In terms of heat dissipation, the Redmi K40 gaming version uses VC liquid cooling. It further has a 1540mm² large-area graphene, and for the first time uses new material from the space shuttle.
