We recently covered the 9th edition of our weekly best free Android apps and games. We’ve been receiving an overwhelming response on our weekly column which is why we have decided to start talking about the opposite end of the spectrum. We’re talking about all those iOS users out there. If you always find yourself looking for new apps and games for iPhone and iOS, then worry not as we decided to bring you the best free iOS Apps and Games of the week.

Just like our Android version, this is going to be a weekly column meaning we’ll go through the entire App Store to find you some of the best apps and games every single week. Of course, the primary aim is to find apps and games that are completely free. Even if the developers are offering a paid subscription, the free version would be more than enough for an average user out there.

Best Free iOS Apps and Games of the Week

#1 Onrise: Habit Tracker & Focus

Onrise best free iOS apps

If you’re looking for a habit tracker that has all the elementary features and even looks exciting, then Onrise is where your search might conclude. When it comes to user interface and experience, the app is top-notch. You can basically set various tiny challenges that you want to develop into habits. For instance, you can create a habit that says you would do meditation 2 times a week.

The aim here is to start small and then take things next level eventually making a long-term change. As the name suggests, the app also has a focus mode that basically uses the Pomodoro technique to help you get things done. Once you’re done with work, you can wind down and relax using the Break option. All in all, we’re looking at an app with simple and minimal experience that largely focuses on getting things done.

Developed by Maximilian Munker, the app seems to be fairly new as it only has 4 ratings averaging up at 4.8 out of 5.

#2 PowerToYou

PowerToYou best free iOS apps

Developed by Karandeep Singh, PowerToYou is one of the nifty iOS applications that I’ve come across. If you own an iPhone, then you might also have some other products from the Apple ecosystem such as Apple Watch, Macbook Pro, iPad, and more. If you’re knee-deep into the Apple ecosystem, then you might find PowerToYou quite helpful. The idea here is to allow users to see the battery percentages of all the devices in a single place.

For this thing to work, you need PowerToYou installed on all the devices and of course, you should also have them running on the same iCloud account. You can simply open up the app and check the battery percentages of all the connected Apple devices. If any of the devices are running low, then the app will notify you of that as well. There’s this widget support that you can place nicely on your home screen.

The best part is, since the app is installed on all devices, you can basically check battery percentages anytime you want. It might sound like a small addition but is indeed a nifty one. Once again, this app appears to be fairly new as one can only see a single review. Of course, there is still room for improvements when it comes to user experience.

#3 Temp Mail

Temp Mail, as the name suggests, is an application that brings an instant disposable email address at your disposal. It’s a free application that also offers some in-app purchases to use premium features. We’ll get back to it in a second. Whenever you need a temporary mail for any purpose, you can simply open the app and generate one instantly. You can then use the address anywhere on the web and of course, you’ll be able to see all the emails to that address in the inbox.

The best part here is the fact that you don’t need to sign up or register yourself to use the service. Both the temporary addresses and no registration required to help you hide from spam, advertisements, phishing attempts, and whatnot. You can use the app whenever you need to share your email address with random organizations or companies on the web that you simply don’t trust. For instance, let’s say there’s a website that is asking your email address for checking out the prices of some products. Well, you can simply use a disposable email address.

You’ll soon find yourself using temporary email addresses at more places than you might not think to use before. There are a bunch of premium features such as custom email names, multiple mailboxes, premium domains, more storage, support, and of course, no advertisements. For an average user out there, the free version should be more than enough if you don’t mind having some ads.

  • You can download the TempMail app on your smartphone or tablet from Apple App Store

Gizchina News of the week

If you’re a vlogger or are looking to make some similar type of content, then you might want to check out DualGram. It’s a photo or video application that allows you to snap or record from multiple cameras at the same time. For instance, you can record your vlog from the rear camera while also showing your face using the front shooter. There are multiple layouts that you choose to switch things up every time.

DualGram makes a perfect companion for when you’re recording reaction videos or interviews. Even if you’re not any content creator, you can still use DualGram in various scenarios. You can take your selfie and the scenery both at the same time. Using the settings menu, you can choose to save all three files – the individuals from both front & rear and a composite one.

The app works fine with both landscape and portrait modes. Of course, you can move PiP anywhere on the screen at your convenience. DualGram allows you to switch to ultrawide, wide, or telephoto lens easily. Alternatively, you can also use the app as a teleprompter if you’re looking for something like that.

With that said, DualGram is rated at 4.6 out of 5 and appears to be working fine for other users out there as well. For content creators out there, DualGram can be one of the best free iOS apps out there.

#5 Next Icon

Just like Android, Apple iPhone users can also do a thing or two to customize their smartphones. Developed by Mehdi Pour, Next Icon is a completely free stylish icon pack that you can use to refresh your home screen. The best part of the app is the fact that it has no ads or whatsoever. Furthermore, the developer claims that the icon pack will remain free forever which is fantastic.

Using this icon pack on your iPhone or iPad is pretty straightforward. You don’t need to use the ‘Shortcuts’ app to create icons. The app has a lot of icon packs for different themes. It also allows you to create your own and then use them right away. There are already 12000 prebuilt icons, text, backgrounds, and various other elements. As mentioned earlier, installing the new icon pack is quite easy.

All you need to do is open the app itself and then choose the icon pack. You then have to press on the install option and that’s it. For making a custom icon, you need to open the app and then tap on the ‘+’ icon. You can then create your icon and select any reference app. That’s it! Save the custom icon and install it on your device. If you’re looking for a new icon pack, then you might want to give this one a shot. There’s a reason why we have added this in our best free iOS apps column.

If you’re looking to spice your home screen up, then the first thing that you can do is change the home screen wallpaper. Well, we’ve got you covered in that as well. Art Wallpapers 4K is a cool aesthetic wallpaper app that brings high-quality arts to your smartphone. The developer claims to offer more than 100,000 wallpapers spread across various niches and categories.

While the app might look heavy in size, the experience is quite snappy and fast. It’s a completely free application that looks fairly new to the App Store. While the app already has an extensive library of wallpapers, the developer claims to add new walls every single day. You can easily save the arts to your device or apply them from the app itself. We’re looking at some additional features such as the ability to edit and crop wallpapers. You can perform basic edits such as rotating, flipping, and more.

You should definitely give Art Wallpapers 4K a try as it really does bring some cool and good-looking wallpapers. At the time of writing this, the app doesn’t have any reviews or ratings.
