Xiaomi’s MIX flagship series has been on hold for some years before the arrival of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold. Before the arrival of the MIX Fold, there were several reports regarding the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. Although the MIX Fold brought the Xiaomi MIX series back to life, it is a foldable smartphone. Thus, it is not a regular MIX series smartphone and fans are still expecting the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. According to previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will use the fastest charging power in history. Today, a recent report out of China via @馬然熊猫 claims that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will use the MIUI 13 system.
Before now, Xiaomi has demonstrated a smartphone with on-screen camera technology. There are reports that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will debut this feature. As of now, only one company has mass-produced an on-screen camera smartphone and that is ZTE. The ZTE Axon 20 5G uses this feature. The Chinese manufacturer is currently working on the Axon 30 5G which will also use this feature.
At the launch of MIUI 12, the research and development of MIUI 13 officially commenced. According to Xiaomi, this system will be a total upgrade and it will be “perfect”. Presently, Xiaomi has the MIUI 12.5 which comes with a couple of features. Some of these features were expected to arrive with the MIUI 13.
According to previous reports, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 already has Chinese network certification and it supports UWB. Furthermore, with Xiaomi working on a 200W fast charging, the MIX 4 will support nothing less than 120W. There is also speculation that the Mi MIX 4 will further support 70W wireless fast charging. If this happens, it will be the highest in the industry. However, there is a proposal that attempts to stop the development of wireless charging beyond 50W.
Xiaomi MIUI Pioneer Group
Today, Xiaomi officially announced the MIUI Piooner Group which it claims to have established a week ago. The aim of this group is to attend to all MIUI issues. In recent times, there have been several complaints regarding bugs and errors in the MIUI system. Thus, such a support group for MIUI is long overdue.
In August 2020, Xiaomi announced the third-generation proactive solution under the screen that can be mass-produced for commercial use, which will be officially mass-produced this year. Compared with the previous two-generation solutions, the third-generation under-screen camera greatly improves the display effect of the camera area through the self-developed pixel arrangement, and through the optimization of the camera algorithm. It brings an undifferentiated selfie experience with the conventional front camera.
