Nothing’s debut product dubbed the Nothing ear (1) Wireless Earbuds will be loaded with awe-inspiring features. The London-based consumer tech company has confirmed that the earbuds will not set you back a pretty penny either.
Nothing is touted as Europe’s newest and most exciting consumer tech brand. The company announced the ear (1) Wireless Earbuds price and features on July 6. As expected, the announcement generated a notable buzz around the company’s upcoming product, which will be taking on the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Live and Google’s Pixel Buds A-Series.
Since Nothing is spearheaded by Carl Pei, the hype is understandable. He co-founded OnePlus back in 2013. The hotly-anticipated Nothing ear (1) Wireless Earbuds has been subject to multiple early teasers, but the details about the upcoming product were still few and far between until now.
Nothing ear (1) Wireless Earbuds Features
The company has finally divulged a slew of key details about the impending earbuds. In an interview with TechCrunch, Pei did not attribute the delayed release of Nothing’s first product to supply issues. He revealed that the ear (1) launch was delayed due to its transparent design.
According to Pei, it is tough to make a high-quality transparent product because they had to consider a slew of parameters such as glue type and magnets. He pointed out that these parameters would have been irrelevant if the product was opaque.
Furthermore, the Nothing ear (1) will feature state-of-the-art ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), which utilizes three high-definition microphones for a superior experience, whether you are watching films, listening to your favorite podcast, or music.
AirPods Pro also boasts similar features. However, the Nothing ear (1) isn’t hard on the pocketbook. Pei revealed that it will retail for a more affordable price than Apple’s earbuds that sell for $249.
Nothing ear (1) Wireless Earbuds Price & Availability
The Nothing ear (1) will carry a $99 price tag in the US. It will retail for £99 in the UK and €99 in Europe. In other words, it will be going toe-to-toe against Google’s Pixel Buds A series. Pei explained that the company was able to keep the price low since they will be primarily selling the product online.
The earbuds are first slated to launch in the UK, North America, Europe, and India in partnership with eCommerce company Flipkart for INR 24,900 (about $333). Earlier this week, the company will be sharing more details on July 27 during its Sound of Change Launch Event.
