A new Google Wireless Streaming Device device with model number GJQ9T has passed through the FCC, and it could be a new Google Chromecast. Nest cameras and Chromecast from Google have already been launched. Now, the company is reportedly gearing up to expand its current line of streaming devices.

Earlier this year, a device with model number G3AL9 appeared on FCC (Federal Communications Commission) before launch. The listing suggested that the product could be a wireless streaming device, probably a Nest Cam. An identical wireless streaming device bearing a different model number has been spotted on the independent agency’s website. The word on the street is that the recently appeared device could be the new Google Chromecast.

Furthermore, the mysterious new device hints at WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity support, along with a USB connection, MySmartPrice noted. This suggests tha the device could be a new Google Chromecast. You can use a Chromecast to stream content directly from your phone or PC onto a bigger screen simply by plugging it into any monitor or television that has an HDMI port.

It is worth noting that the streaming device is particularly more useful for those who do not have a smart TV. However, it can be used to stream services or watch content that is currently unavailable on smart TVs. Google has neither confirmed nor denied the speculations surrounding its new streaming device. The company could announce one during its Fall event, alongside the Pixel 6 series.

Timing Of The Filing Hints At A New Chromecast Device

Nothing is set in stone yet. However, the timing of the FCC suggests that the tech giant could indeed be planning to unveil a new Chromecast device. Last year, a Chromecast with Google TV with model number GZRNL made its appearance on the FCC in August. However, this device’s listing revealed that it was an Interactive Media Streaming Device, and not a Wireless Streaming Device. That isn’t enough to quell the possibility of a 2021 Chromecast device.
