Flipkart is reportedly gearing up to unveil a MarQ branded smartphone in India this month, and more details are surfacing online. As part of the preparation to launch its own smartphone in the country, the Indian eCommerce giant has launched a landing page for the smartphone dubbed, the Flipkart MarQ M3 Smart. The device is likely to launch under the budget smartphone segment in the country.
The Flipkart MarQ M3 Smart is slated to go official in India on September 25. While details about the handset’s specifications, price, and availability are still scarce, they could be revealed at the launch event. Furthermore, the MarQ M3 will be the first smartphone under Flipkart’s well-received MarQ sub-brand. The company has been using MarQ to offer home appliances such as microwaves, ACs, washing machines, soundbars, TVs, and more.

Aside from that, Flipkart has divulged some key details about its first-ever smartphone. According to the company, the MarQ M3 Smart will sport a 6.1-inch display with HD+ resolution, and offer 32GB onboard storage capacity.

Moreover, the phone’s HD+ screen resolution also suggests that it will be a budget segment handset. In the photography department, the MarQ M3 Smart houses a dual-camera setup. It draws its juices from a 5,000mAh battery.
Furthermore, the phone could pack a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM, according to a report from Price Baba. The built-in storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. For optics, the phone is likely to come with a 13MP dual rear camera setup. Upfront, the Flipkart MarQ M3 Smart could sport a 5MP selfie camera.

The MarQ M3 Smart smartphone listing has a price tag of INR 7,999 on Flipkart. The phone will be up for grabs in blue and black color options. Regrettably, details about the sale date are still few and far between. Flipkart will be hosting the Big Billion Days sale from October 7 to October 12.
