After months of speculations and making appearances online in the form of leaks, the Oppo A55 India launch date has been revealed. The latest entrant in Oppo’s budget A-series smartphones, the Oppo A55 has been subject to multiple leaks and rumors. Earlier this week, the phone’s design was leaked via some official-looking images. The leaked images indicated that the A55 will be quite similar to its 5G-enabled sibling, but have some notable differences.
For instance, the images show that the A55 will have a punch-hole cutout, which will be placed on the top-left part. The Oppo A55 5G, on the other hand, came with a waterdrop notch like most low-end mobile phones. In other words, the 4G-ready smartphone will offer a more modern design featuring a punch-hole cutout. Aside from that, the display has slim bezels on the top, as well as sides. Also, it offers a modern aspect ratio.
Oppo A55 India Launch Date Tipped
It seems that the Oppo A55 smartphone’s launch date in India has been revealed. A landing page for a new Oppo A-series smartphone has gone live on Amazon India. The nameless smartphone will be going official in the country on October 1. Oppo has reportedly been working on a 4G variant of the A55 for India. Noted tipster Evan Blass corroborated these speculations by sharing some renders of the purported phone.

The aforesaid Amazon listing seems to feature one of the previously leaked teaser images. This implies that the Oppo A55 4G is indeed on the verge of hitting the store shelves in India, and it will probably arrive on October 1. The teaser image shows the Oppo A-series smartphone in a blue color option. Furthermore, it is likely to sport a 50MP dual rear camera setup. These features further confirm that the upcoming A-series phone will be the A55 4G model.
Design & Other Leaked Information
The recently leaked render of the Oppo A55 4G smartphone suggests that Oppo will launch the phone in three color options including gradient blue, green, and black. The display houses a punch-hole cut out to accommodate the front shooter. Aside from that, the display has a noticeable chin. The fingerprint scanner is available on the side edge. The rear panel houses a 50MP dual camera setup.
Regrettably, details about the phone’s specifications are still scarce. However, the phone has passed through multiple certification websites with key details. These listings show that the A55 will pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The phone will succeed this year’s A54, which sports a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. It packs an Helio P35 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
