OnePlus Nord CE OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 Update Brings With It September Security Update, Bug Fixes


Popular enthusiast brand OnePlus has started to roll out the latest update for its OnePlus Nord CE handset, under the build number OxygenOS 11.0.9.9.

This update comes after the OxygenOS 11.0.6.6 released in August, with this new update including the Android security patch for the month of September. With this comes a few additional features and certain bug fixes.

What Does the Update Bring With It?

According to a screenshot shared on OnePlus’s Community forums, which comes to us via XDA Developers, the OxygenOS 11.0.9.9 update for the OnePlus Nord CE features the following changelog.

System

1. Support ambient display screenshot
2. Added the Files by Google app, find files faster with search and simple browsing
3. Improved system stability and fixed known issues

4. Updated Android security patch to 2021.09

The update weighs 135MB and is rolling out to users as of now, with a small number of OnePlus Nord CE users getting the update with a proper rollout in the coming days. OTA packages for the update are also available, with the global and Indian variants OTAs on offer.

This phone is equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and covers the P3 colour gamut. The front camera is located in the upper left corner with a small opening.

In addition to the Snapdragon chip, this device also uses UFS2.1 flash memory, LPDDR4X RAM, and 6GB/8GB/12GB memory options are available.

In terms of imaging, the OnePlus Nord CE comes with a 64-megapixel main camera. It also uses an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens as well as a 2-megapixel black-and-white lens. The front camera is a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor

Other features that come with this device include NFC, dual-mode 5G, and an under-screen fingerprint recognition technology. As for its availability, this phone is presently on pre-order in the UK.

In other news, last month, noted leaker Max J suggested that the OnePlus 9T series smartphones will not launch this year. However, the renowned insider did not reveal the reasons why the company may not launch the T version of its well-received OnePlus 9 lineup. It was widely speculated that OnePlus is not prepared to offer something fresh at the time.

Others suggested that the focus will deviate to Oppo flagships, while OnePlus devices will be set aside. The company is planning to launch its next flagship in 2022 running on an integrated OS that will be available on both OnePlus and Oppo smartphones, according to a report from MySmartPrice.
