The much-awaited iQOO Z5 has been launched in India, just days after the smartphone made its debut in China. Earlier this month, the popular Chinese smartphone brand started teasing the phone’s imminent launch in India. The Z5 was launched in the company’s home country of China on September 23. However, it did not divulge details about the phone’s availability in other regions including India at the time.

A dedicated microsite for IQOO Z5 went live on Amazon earlier this month, revealing the launch date, key specifications, and pricing details. The upcoming smartphone packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC under the hood. The display has a hole-punch design to accommodate the front camera. Moreover, it offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz. There are three rear-mounted cameras on the phone, including a 64MP main camera.

The iQoo Z5 price in India will be INR 23,990 (about $325) for the 8GB RAM+128GB ROM model. Those willing to shell out INR 26,990 (about $366), can go for the slightly larger model that ships with 12GB of RAM and offers 256GB of onboard storage capacity. Furthermore, the phone will be available in Mystic Space and Dawn color options. The sale will start on October 3, when the Amazon Great Indian Festival kicks off.

You will be able to purchase the Z5 from Amazon and iQoo.com. Aside from that, consumers will be able to take advantage of unmissable launch offers. For instance, they can avail of INR 1,500 (about $20) off if they place their order using a debit or credit card from HDFC Bank. In addition to that, they save INR 1,500 simply by using Amazon coupons. Other notable offers include up to 9 months of no-cost EMI options, and six months of screen replacement.

The iQoo Z5 sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with Full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the screen offers HDR 10 support, a DCI-P3 color gamut, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and an aspect ratio of 20:9. On top of that, the screen is TUV Rheinland rated. The phone comes with a 6nmQualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. Aside from that, it ships with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Furthermore, the phone’s rear-mounted triple camera setup includes a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The camera supports portrait mode, super night mode, and dual view video. There’s a 16MP front shooter with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phone draws its juices from a 5,000mAh battery that comes with support for 44W Flash Charge fast charging.

The fingerprint scanner has been placed on the side edge. For additional security, the phone supports Face Wake facial recognition. For connectivity, the Z5 offers a 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, 5.8GHz bands, 5.1GHz, tri-band Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz, USB OTG, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The phone’s dimensions are 164.7×76.68×8.49mm and it weighs 193 grams. Also, the phone uses a highly efficient VC liquid cooling system for heat dissipation.
