iPhone 13 Pro Max display is a significant improvement
However, DxOMark believes there is room for improvements in the iPhone 13 Pro Max display. For example, the device is not bright enough under its default settings to read comfortably at night. Also, when the blue light filter is active, the display will have a strong orange colour cast. This appearance is not good for gaming and it can be better. According to reports, the brightness of this display reaches 1066Cd/m2. This is better than the 815 of the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is brighter than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. However, the latter shows fewer hair details in the portrait, which is not realistic enough than the latter. Also, the Samsung image display is too saturated. In addition, iPhone 13 Pro Max can adjust its brightness very smoothly to adapt to changing lighting conditions.
Furthermore, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has excellent control of artifacts. Samsung S21 Ultra and iPhone 12 Pro Max both have obvious 240 Hz flickers. The iPhone 13 series have twice their flicker (ie 480 Hz). This makes the flicker less obvious on the new iPhone and the video experience is better. In other respects, the latest flagship iPhone is an improvement over the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and it is also significantly better than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G in terms of sawtooth processing.
In several key areas of display performance, the flagship Pro Max version has significant improvements relative to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Most importantly, in all scenes, the smooth adaptation of the screen to changing brightness conditions means that users will get a consistently pleasant viewing experience in terms of brightness, contrast, and colour.
