According to Huawei, HarmonyOS now has more than 1,800 hardware partners and 4,000 ecological devices. At the same time, the number of new shipments this year exceeds 60 million. HarmonyOS Connect

Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei’s Consumer Business AI and Smart Business Unit, said, “Huawei uses industry-leading AI technology to empower the new era of the Internet of Things (IoT). This allows the interconnection of equipment, services, and interactions to provide partners and developers…”

With the support of HarmonyOS’s revolutionary distributed technology, the devices that join the Harmony Ecosystem are no longer “islands”, but super terminals that share data and capabilities across devices. With the new sensor grid technology, sensor data can be shared between devices while ensuring user privacy.

To put it simply, every device is like a HyperTerminal. The more devices you add to HyperTerminal, the better you will understand the user. At present, in the Harmony testing zone of Huawei Mall, a variety of Harmony-certified products are already on sale. This includes air conditioners, dehumidifiers, blood pressure monitors, abdominal machines, etc. Of course, these devices are only available in China. As for global users, there is no indication of when HarmonyOS will arrive.

HarmonyOS 2 adaptation history

Huawei officially released the HarmonyOS system on June 2nd. In the first week, by June 9, we already had over 10 million Harmony users. In two weeks, this operating system had over 18 million users. After a month of upgrade, HarmonyOS had over 25 million users. Before the end of July, this figure increased to over 40 million. In less than two months, as of early August, this operating system had over 50 million users. As of August 30th, HarmonyOS had over 70 million active users. However, a few days later (September, 2nd), the company announced that it has over 90 million users.

As of September 13th, HarmonyOS users officially exceeded 100 million. On September 27th, the company announced that HarmonyOS active users have exceeded 120 million users. It is obvious that this system will have well over 300 million users before the end of this year. This upgrade is Huawei’s largest system update in its history. Considering the speed of its upgrade, Huawei has since increased its target for the Harmony system this year. The Chinese manufacturer now hopes to release this system to 400 million devices before the end of the year

As of now, over 56 very old models from Huawei and Honor are already getting this update. Most of these devices wouldn’t have gotten any more major EMUI updates. According to Huawei, over 300 million devices (200 million Huawei devices and 100 million third-party devices) will have this update this year.
