Phones With 100W+ fast charging in India

If rumors making the rounds online are anything to go by, Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo and Realme will be launching smartphones with 100W+ fast charging support in India in 2022. Fast wired charging support on smartphones in India is restricted to under 100W for some reason. To recall, the Indian version of the iQOO 7 Legend offered 66W charging support, while the Chinese variant supports 120W charging. However, there is a possibility that smartphones with 100W+ fast charging support could launch in the country next year.

According to a noted leaker, tech giants including Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo and Realme are prepping to bring phones with 100W+ fast charging support into the Indian market next year. Aside from that, the tipster claims that SuperVOOC is headed to the country as well. Earlier this year, a report revealed that Oppo may be on the verge of unveiling SuperVOOC 3.0 with 80W fast charging in 2021. Likewise, leaker Digital Chat Station indicated that the Black Shark 5 gaming phone may arrive with 100W+ fast charging, unlike the Black Shark 4 series that offered 120W fast charging support.

Taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday, renowned leaker Mukul Sharma revealed that leading smartphone manufacturers are planning to launch 100W+ fast charging enabled smartphones in India. Furthermore, Mukul claims that the SuperVOOC tech will arrive in the country soon. It is worth noting that the leaker has not divulged the names of these smartphones. However, the word on the street is that these could be the Vivo X80, OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find X4 lineup, and the Realme GT2 Pro smartphones.

Gizchina News of the week

The aforesaid handsets are likely to go official in the first quarter of 2022. Regrettably, launch details about the Oppo Find X4 are still scarce. However, the rest of the phones are reportedly in active development at the moment. The Realme GT2 Pro and the OnePlus 10 series are reportedly in the testing phase, according to 91mobiles. Nevertheless, some completely different smartphones could debut the 100W+ charging tech in India even before the launch of the abovementioned smartphones in the country.

What Else To Expect?

The Find X4, OnePlus 10 series, Realme GT2 Pro, and the top-end X80 series models will reportedly pack Snapdragon 898 chipset under the hood. The Snapdragon 898 chipset will make its debut at the impending Qualcomm Tech Summit. These models are highly likely to hit the store shelves in China before arriving in other markets including India. It is still unclear whether there will be changes to the fast charging tech this time. More details are likely to surface in the next few days.
