Enthusiast smartphone brand OnePlus debuted the OnePlus Buds Z2, the successor to the original OnePlus Buds Z in China back in the month of October, with other regions receiving the product earlier this month.

Now, it seems that after a launch in the US and UK, the company is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Buds Z2 in the country of India, with a launch likely in Q1 of 2022.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 will come to the country as successors to the Buds Z, which was quite popular due to a rather low price tag. Now, 91mobiles has learned about the pricing of the OnePlus Buds Z2 in India, via noted tipster Yogesh Brar. However, as of the time of writing this article, the exact launch date in India is not known.

OnePlus has increased the pricing of the OnePlus Buds Z2, especially in comparison to the Buds Z, but considering the presence of 11mm dynamic drivers, ANC and 38 hours of battery life, this change seems apt.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 will likely retail in India for Rs 4,999 and will be on offer in the lone Pearl White colour option despite there being an Obsidian Black hue, which will likely be available next year.

In other markets, the Buds Z2 earbuds are available for USD 99 and EUR 99 (around Rs 8,600) meaning that the earbuds will retail for quite a bit less in the country of India.

The OnePlus Buds Z2 adopts a design that looks similar to the OnePlus Buds Z. Furthermore, the Buds Z2 has an 11mm dynamic driver, just like its predecessor.

What Else Do We Know About the Earbuds?

Most notably, the new earbuds support active noise cancellation. Aside from that, they support transparency mode and mono mode. For connectivity, the Buds Z2 offers Bluetooth v5.2 support.

Moreover, the new earbuds from OnePlus draw their juices from a 40mAh battery. This robust battery can deliver playback of up to 5 hours with ANC on. When ANC is turned off, they can deliver up to 7 hours of playback.

The earbuds offer 38 hours of battery life with the IPX4 rated charging case, which features a USB Type-C port. The earbuds can offer up to 5 hours of music playback after just 10 minutes of charging. Other notable features include Dolby Atmos support and wearing detection.

The Buds Z2 will set you back $99 / EUR 99 (about INR 7,600 and 8,600). Moreover, you can choose between two appealing color options including Obsidian Black and Pearl White.
