Redmi K50 series, the company’s latest K series smartphones will be official sometime next month. This series will use multiple processors including Snapdragon 8 Gen1, Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 9000, and Dimensity 8000. According to popular Weibo leakster, @DCS, the “overall shipment of Dimensity will be late”. This implies that the Dimensity models of this smartphone will ship later than the Snapdragon models.
The regular Redmi K50 will use the Snapdragon 870 SoC while the Redmi K50 gaming edition will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen1. These are the lower and upper end respectively of this series. There should also be a Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Pro+ which should use the Dimensity 8000 and 9000 chips respectively.
The Redmi K50 Pro+ with Dimensity 9000 will be the flagship of the series. The gaming edition with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC is not a regular model. This makes the Pro+ model the top version of this series. This series will have a 2K high refresh rate display and will support up to 120W fast charging
