OnePlus 10 Pro

Much to the delight of the loyal Indian OnePlus fanbase, the OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone will launch in India today, March 31. OnePlus will be hosting an online-only event to launch the OnePlus 10 Pro globally, as well as in India. However, the Chinese consumer electronics giant had launched the smartphone in its home country back in January 2022. So, the OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone’s key specifications and design aren’t a mystery.

The company will also be taking the wraps off its Bullets Wireless Z2 along with a new Radiant Silver color version of the OnePlus Buds Pro at the event. Furthermore, the OnePlus 10 Pro is a feature-laden smartphone that sports a 2K AMOLED display for a superior viewing experience. Moreover, it packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset under the hood and supports 80W charging.

On the photography front, the smartphone features 2nd-gen Hasselblad cameras. To get your hands on the amazing OnePlus smartphone, you’d need to wait just a little longer. The OnePlus 10 Pro will launch in India today, March 31 at 7:30 PM IST.

OnePlus 10 Pro To Launch In India & Other Regions Today

Moreover, you can watch the live stream of the launch event on the official OnePlus YouTube channel. Alternatively, you can watch the live stream of the event on the official Twitter account. For those outside India, the launch event will start at 2 pm GMT/10 am EDT.

The OnePlus 10 Pro could set you back INR 66,999 for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage variant. Likewise, the larger 12GB RAM+256GB storage model will reportedly carry a price tag of INR 71,999, as per a report by 91mobiles. Furthermore, the smartphone could go on its first sale through Amazon and the OnePlus website on April 5. For comparison, the OnePlus 9 Pro made its debut in the Indian market last year, with a price tag of INR 64,999 for the 8GB RAM+128GB storage model.

The 12GB RAM+ 256GB storage variant, on the other hand, retails for INR 69,999. However, the smartphone’s awe-inspiring features justify these slightly steep price tags. For instance, the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a mammoth 6.7-inch 2K Fluid AMOLED LTPO 2.0 display. Moreover, this screen offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Aside from this, it has a punch-hole cutout to accommodate the phone’s selfie camera.

Specs & Features

The phone draws its juices from a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports reverse charging. Moreover, this cell supports 50W AirVOOC wireless charging and 80W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. However, the OnePlus 10 Pro global version will not support 80W charging in some countries including North America, India, and Europe. Notably, the models in the aforesaid regions will only support 65W charging. This is quite disappointing for users in these regions.

OnePlus 10 Pro

In terms of connectivity, the 10 Pro provides options like Wi-Fi 6E, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, 4G LTE, and 5G. Aside from this, there is a USB Type-C port that facilitates charging and data sync. The OnePlus 10 Pro India model will run Android 12 OS. The smartphone will also pack an Adreno GPU. Other notable features include Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Regrettably, OnePlus has ditched the 3.5mm audio jack for 10 Pro.

For optics, the smartphone houses a 48MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens on the back. Upfront, the phone has a 32MP shooter that can capture selfies and enable video calling.
