This is a sign that Reliance Jio is ready for 5G. With 5G-ready devices, users will be able to access faster internet connectivity. Vivo recently released a statement (via TimesofIndia) about the 5G readiness of its devices. The brand deems the successful 5G trial as one step forward. Vivo will focus on creating a smartphone ecosystem to expedite the adoption of 5G technology in India. To recap, there have been similar collaborations in the past. For instance, Oppo had conducted 5G tests on its new devices in India.
Also, the 5G trial network of Airtel went live in Phoenix Mall in Mumbai last year. Regrettably, 5G isn’t commercially available in India. However, the 5G spectrum auction will take later this year. Also, India’s PM Narendra Modi has already confirmed that 6G will roll out in the country by 2030. However, 5G connectivity could be available in the country by 2023. Several brands started selling their 5G-ready phones in India about a couple of years ago. Now, most handsets priced above INR 20,000 support a 5G network.
Also, there are some phones under INR 20,000 that support 5G connectivity. The market is currently teeming with all sorts of 5G-enabled devices. So, this is a perfect time for telecom operators in India to roll out 5G services. Moreover, this will enable the networks to adapt to the latest smartphones. Meanwhile, you can get your hands on the X80 Pro for a lowered price in India. The Pro model sells for INR 86,999, but you can now buy it for just INR 79,999 on Flipkart. Also, you can get up to an extra INR 19,500 off if you buy with the exchange offer.
