Top 10 most powerful Android flagship smartphones for May 2022

India smartphone shipments

Just entering June, AnTuTu released the top flagship Android smartphones rankings for May 2022. Of course, in the flagship segment, we expect Qualcomm Snapdragon chips to dominate. This is exactly the case with this list. However, we also have surprise entries from MediaTek Dimensity 9000 on the list. Flagships using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC occupy the top three slots. Interestingly, all these smartphones are gaming smartphones. We have the BlackShark Gaming Phone 5 Pro in the top position. In the second position is the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro while Lenovo Legion Y90 comes third. These smartphones score 1.04 million, 1.03 million, and 1.02 million points respectively.

In the fourth position is the Vivo X80 which is also the first Dimensity 9000 SoC smartphone on the list. It is not only the first Dimensity 9000 smartphone on the list, it is also the first non-gaming smartphone on the list. Since gaming smartphones come with so much optimization in terms of heat dissipation, we expect them to be on top of their game. Unfortunately, there is no Dimensity 9000 gaming smartphone for now. It would have given the top 3 smartphones a good run for their money.

The non-gaming Vivo X80 Pro scores a whopping 1.01 million points. In this list, it is interesting to note that the top 7 smartphones score above 1 million points.
