Xiaomi 13 series screen will upgrade to the Samsung E6 luminous display

The Xiaomi 12 series is doing quite well but all the models in this series are yet to hit the market. While the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro are already on the shelve, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is yet to launch. Nevertheless, there are already reports on the Xiaomi 12 series successor, the Xiaomi 13 series. According to popular Weibo tech blogger @DCS, Xiaomi’s iterative model will use the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile SoC. Thus, there are speculations that this model will most likely belong to the Xiaomi 13 series.

At the same time, the screen of the new smartphone will be significantly upgraded. The arrangement of the rear camera will be more attractive. According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 will come with a new substrate 2K large screen with an ultra-narrow bezel. The “new substrate” should be the Samsung E6 luminescent material. Compared with the E5, its blue light rate and luminous efficiency have been improved. Xiaomi 12 Pro uses Samsung E5 luminescent material.

Xiaomi 13 series should launch in December

The Xiaomi 13 series will inherit the design elements of the previous generation. This flagship smartphone will come with a centre single punch-hole display as well as a curved screen. This display will support up to 12bit colour depth. Compared with 10bit, the colour supported by the screen has increased from 1.07 billion colours to 4 billion colours. The transition of the screen display colour is more smooth.

In addition, @DCS claims that the engineering model of this new phone has two kinds of back cover materials. It has the ceramic as well as the AG glass rear model. However, this does not rule out the possibility of adding a plain leather version in the future. After all, the PU plain leather version of the Xiaomi 12 series is still very popular. According to the regular product iteration speed, the Xiaomi 13 series should arrive by the end of this year.
