So, according to a report released on Wednesday by the consultancy Mercer, software engineers in Dubai with at least three years of experience make 30% more money than their colleagues in other major technology hubs like London, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
According to the study, technology workers in Silicon Valley and New York make 35% and 22% more money than their colleagues in Dubai.
“Dubai’s status as a global business hub, coupled with its income tax-free environment, world-class infrastructure, safety and high quality of life make the emirate a very attractive market for talent,” Mercer Middle East’s workforce mobility chief, Vladimir Vrzhovski, stated. “The demand for tech talent in particular will continue to grow in the UAE, given the nation’s drive to be a global capital of the digital economy.”

According to the Hays 2022 GCC Salary Guide; software development directors in the UAE make an average of Dh52,500 ($14,295) each month.
Also, according to Hays, the average monthly pay for a front-end developer/engineer is Dh25,000; for a back-end developer/engineer it’s Dh23,500; for a mobile application developer it’s Dh24,00; and for an engineering manager it’s Dh45,000, and for a head of software engineering it’s Dh55,000.
