TikTok has introduced a referral rewards program in Malaysia, giving users a chance to earn cold hard cash by inviting others to use the app. Interestingly, the rewards program was rolled out in several countries a few years ago. However, the short-form video app has finally arrived in Malaysia. On the downside, only a few accounts will get the feature. Also, the rewards will vary from user to user.

The TikTok referral rewards program was made available in Malaysia in July 2022. It was first spotted by Amanz. Instagram Reels has been gaining a lot of popularity in some regions lately. It gives users a chance to share TikTok-like short-form videos. Instagram has recently been catching flak for trying to imitate TikTok. Notably, Kim Kardashian and her sister Kylie Jenner urged the platform to refrain from copying TikTok.

TikTok Referral Rewards Programme In Malaysia

Nevertheless, TikTok-owner ByteDance is sparing no effort in a bid to popularize the platform. In fact, the company is prepping to start making its own chips. Meanwhile, a few TikTok users in Malaysia have received an invitation to the referral rewards program. However, the number of referral rewards is different for each user. Further, they will be able to earn RM55 or RM65 for every referral, but there’s a limit of 10 first referrals.

Also, the new user who installs the TikTok app via the referral must watch TikTok content for at least 30 minutes a day. Moreover, the new user must do it for ten continuous days. So, if ten of the initial referrals do this, the referrer has a chance to earn up to RM650. Now, there will a referral code that the new user has to enter on the rewards page. The new user should do this needs within 24 hours. If the user fails to do this, the referrer will not get the reward. Also, TikTok will pay the rewards in cash.

The referrer will receive the rewards via PayPal. Alternatively, they can get it directly into their bank accounts. However, they can’t withdraw it more than once a day. It is still unclear if TikTok will roll out the referral rewards program to more users in Malaysia. Regardless, it is available to selected users in the country at the moment.
