Motorola was expected to reveal its 200 MP camera phone, the Motorola X30 Pro in China back in the last week. The device will come alongside the company’s new take on the foldable market, the Moto RAZR 2022. However, the company had to halt its plans due to the tensions between China, the United States, and Taiwan over Nancy Pelosi’s unprecedented visit to Taiwan. After speculation and cryptic teasers, the company confirms the Moto X30 Pro, Moto RAZR 2022, and Moto S30 Pro smartphones will launch on August 11 at 8 PM China time. The confirmation comes straight from Lenovo’s China Mobile General Manager Chen Jin.
Moto X30 Pro, RAZR 2022, Moto S30 Pro
The executive took to his personal Weibo account to confirm the phone gang launch for the next Thursday. The Moto X30 Pro is the highly-anticipated “Motorola Fusion”, the company’s most ambitious flagship in years. The device will be the world’s first 200 MP camera phone. Furthermore, it will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. In addition to that, the flagship will bring 125 W fast charging which is the fastest standard on a Motorola-branded phone to date.
The Moto RAZR 2022 marks the company’s return to the foldable smartphone scene. Actually, it seems to be the company’s definitive step, it’s now or never. After all, for the first time, the lineup is bringing a flagship SoC (SD8+ Gen 1). Furthermore, Motorola improves the battery capacity territory with an alleged capacity of 3,500 mAh which is really decent for a clamshell-foldable smartphone with challenging build steps.
