The U.S. government is currently strongly against Russia over its recent conflict with Ukraine. The American government and its allies have been doing all they can to support Ukraine but these have not stopped the conflict. However, most American companies have since pulled out of the Russian market including Apple. Ordinarily, one would expect that Russians will not have an opportunity to buy the new iPhone. Nevertheless, it appears that the iPhone 14 series will still make its way into the Russian market. In fact, the sales of the new iPhones in Russia are higher than before. Thus, it appears that the new iPhones are not only selling in Russia, there are sufficient units to go around.

iPhone 14 sales in Russia soar

To Apple’s gain, RussianĀ users are still very much in love with their new iPhones, at least according to the current presale.Ā According to Russian media reports, the iPhone 14 has already started pre-sale locally. From the comparison of the data in the same period, the pre-sale of the iPhone 14 has increased by 150%, which is quite a good result.

The report mentions that although Appleā€™s new phones are not cheap, within the first week of the pre-sale of the iPhone 14 series, the number of scheduled services in Russia increased by 2.5 times compared to a year earlier. This is indeed a surprise considering the current bans against Russia.

Russia’s largest mobile operator, MTS, said that more than 70% of the prepayments came for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max versions. MTS also reveals that the least popular model is the iPhone 14 128GB version. Overall, the iPhone 14 series is very popular in Russia and netizens have the cash to purchase it.Ā According to previous Russian statements, due to constraints, the new iPhones will be supplied to the country through a parallel import mechanism. Russians will have the opportunity to purchase new devices to meet the needs of users.
