Vivo Y73t arrives with MediaTek Dimensity 700 and 12GB RAM

Vivo Y73t

Vivo has recently unveiled the Vivo X Fold+ for the foldable segment. It’s also rumored to bring the Vivo X90 Pro+ later this year, but while the new flagship does not come, the company will focus on the mid-range segment. Today, it’s bringing the Vivo Y73t to the Chinese market. The device resembles the recently-released iQOO Z6x, however, it packs a distinct MediaTek chipset.

Vivo Y73t specifications

When it comes to the specifications, the Vivo Y73t brings the usual package of specs in the mid-range department. For instance, we have a 6.58-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution. As usual for low-end Vivo smartphones, there is a waterdrop notch at the top for the selfie shooter.

Moving around to the back, we have a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP macro snapper. The cameras sit inside a rectangular island with an LED flash. The design is cool and resembles other Vivo smartphones, but in the end, the specs are of a low-end smartphone.

Vivo Y73t

Under the hood, we have the good and old MediaTek Dimensity 700. It’s the most basic 5G chipset available from MediaTek. Interestingly, Vivo is pairing this Vivo Y73t with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. However, the processor will be a bottleneck in your pursuit to fill this 12GB of RAM with tasks.

As usual, these budget devices don’t disappoint in the battery department. The Vivo Y73t is not an exception. Hence, the device comes with a huge 6,000 mAh battery. It charges via a USB Type-C port, and we assume it to support up to 18W charging. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It runs with Android 12 and there is a layer of OriginOS Ocean on top. Of course, global versions will get FuntouchOS.
