Poco X5 and X5 Pro: Specifications fully revealed by retailer

POCO is gearing up to introduce the POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro series. The company started to tease the launch of the two smartphones in India, but we already know it will go global at the same time. A leaked promo banner confirms the phones’ launch on February 6 in India. Ahead of the launch, the specs for both devices have been fully revealed by a retailer in Europe.

The POCO X5 and X5 Pro had their specs listed on Bulgarian retailer – CityTel’s website. The listings on the retailers reveal the specifications for the two smartphones. Curiously, the retailer put the POCO X4 GT and POCO X4 Pro images to represent the two phones. Obviously, they’re not coming with the same design, but we can extract all the specifications for the leak.

The POCO X5 will pack a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The resolution will be set at Full HD+ with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The panel has a punch-hole cutout at the middle and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is based on the Redmi Note 12 5G, however, it ditches the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 for a Snapdragon 695. Although the SD695 is older, it’s actually faster than the SD4 Gen 1. That’s the same SoC inside last year’s POCO X4 Pro. So, this year, users will get the same performance at a lower price.

Gizchina News of the week

The POCO X5 will draw its power from a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. In terms of optics, the device has a 48-Megapixel main camera, an 8-Megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-Megapixel decorative sensor. For selfies, the device brings a 13 MP shooter. The handset will measure 165.8 x 76.2 x 7.98 mm and weigh 189 grams. The phone comes with an IP54 rating and will be dust and splash resistant. The phone will sell in Black, Blue, and Green color options.

The POCO X5 Pro is the obviously offering but is not too far from the POCO X4 Pro. The real upgrade here will be in the performance department. The POCO X5 Pro will come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also gets an improved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. Under the hood, the phone carries the Snapdragon 778G with Adreno 642L GPU.

The POCO X5 Pro will boast a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is a 108-Megapixel shooter, and there is also an 8-Megapixel ultrawide snapper and a 2-Megapixel depth sensor. The handset comes with a 16-Megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The phone will draw its power from a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The device is even smaller than the vanilla. It measures 162.1 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighs 181 grams. The phone gets an IP68 rating. It will sell in Black, Blue, and Poco Yellow colorways.

We expect both devices to come with Android 13 and MIUI 14. However, there are some conflicting reports.
