The Samsung Galaxy S23 series has been made available yesterday. The whole Galaxy S23 series is running Qualcomm’s second generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. There is no Exynos variant this year. This contrasts with the previous generation.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy is the name of this chip. Its CPU’s core frequency is 3.36GHz, higher than the ordinary version’s 3.2GHz. While its GPU’s core frequency is 719MHz, higher still than the standard version’s 680MHz.

The difference in performance between the two generations of smartphones is significant. And while benchmarks are not always indicative of real world performance. It is safe to assume that the new Samsung Galaxy S23 series will always have more power than we need.
