Galaxy S23 and iPhone 15: Don’t Buy Any “Ultra,” You Have a Better Option!

Say no to Ultra!

Galaxy S23 and iPhone 15 Ultra

The Galaxy S23 Ultra stole the Unpacked event show’s highlight. And even though it is an excellent phone with beastly hardware, it will not be the only mainstream flagship “Ultra” phone of this year. The industry is yet to see what iPhone has to offer with the “iPhone 15 Pro Max,” or should we say the “iPhone 15 Ultra.”

No matter the name, the “Ultra” iPhone is likely to land in mid-September. And it goes without saying that the iPhone “Ultra” will pack all the bells and whistles that the iPhone users could ever wish for. But, it is not going to come cheap. Like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the iPhone 15 “Ultra” will likely be very expensive.

So, that brings up the question, should you actually get an “Ultra” phone this year? We think otherwise! There is a better option for you!

Both Galaxy S23 and iPhone 15 “Plus” Will Have the Best Battery Life

Although the iPhone 15 Plus is not out yet, you can not forget that the iPhone 14 Plus was the king of battery life in the 14 series. And the case is pretty much the same for the Galaxy S23 Plus in the new S23 lineup.

In fact, the Cupertino giant has gone a step further to hype up the battery life of the upcoming iPhone 14 “Plus.” Apple marketed that phone in big and bold letters, saying it had the “longest battery life ever” on an iPhone. And the Cupertino company is not really that far off.

Reviewers have also claimed that the iPhone 14 Plus was even better than the 14 Pro Max in terms of battery life. And to give you a perspective, the iPhone 14 Plus was much cheaper than the 14 Pro Max. Well, we expect to see the same trend continue with the iPhone 15 Plus.

Bigger Screens Without the Bigger Price Tag

Yes, the Galaxy S23 Plus is a version of the base model with a large screen and battery. But can you really get good large-screen phones with flagship-grade specs at a cheap? No, right? Well, that is another factor where the Galaxy S23 Plus shines. And the case will pretty much be the same for the iPhone 15 Plus.

S23 Ultra and Plus

The thing is, most of us do not realize how important big screens are. To give you a perspective, the Plus models of Samsung and iPhone are generally 6.6 and 6.7 inches. You can fully delve into videos and games with such a screen real estate. Not to mention, texting will become easier too.

Most People Will Not Lose Anything Significant By Getting the Galaxy S23 and iPhone 15 Plus

The current Galaxy S23 Plus starts at $999. While the pricing details about the iPhone 15 series are not out yet, the iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899. We expect the 15 Plus to be around this price point. And these two will be the only “high-end” flagship phones that you can get under $1000 in 2023.

Yes, you might be losing out on the built-in stylus and the 200 MP camera of Galaxy S23 Ultra. But still, the cameras on the S23 Plus are very capable. The same thing goes for the performance.

S23 and S23 Plus

In fact, we are even brave enough to say that the Plus models will be more than enough for most people. So, if you really do not need the “Ultra” features, there is no point in getting the high-end models of the Galaxy S23 lineup and the soon-to-be-released iPhone 15 series.
