LiFi Comes To Substitute The Existing WiFi and 5G Technologies

Many users do not give heed to new techs. Instead, they assess each product by how it handles tasks. But tech is what makes brands stand out. For instance, today at MWC 2023, pureLiFi launched the Light Antenna Module. It’s the first of its kind. We believe it will soon go viral as it performs much better than any rival. What’s more, it supports the yet-to-come IEEE 802.11bb standard.

LiFi Highlights

In simple terms, LiFi is a new-gen wireless tech that uses radio signals to transmit data. The light antenna works like a traditional RF antenna but enables LiFi in devices that support it. Unlike traditional wireless connectivity options, it offers faster and more reliable data transfer. It is also more secure. So it’s a step up from WiFi and 5G.

Besides the support for the new IEEE 802.11bb standard, the Light Antenna ONE also supports the existing 802.11 WiFi standard that is on billions of devices. We mean that a phone with this antenna onboard will still support the standards we are familiar with.

By the way, according to McKinsey, the existing radio signals (RF) will be enough for about 70% of all devices on the global network by 2030. But the rest need a better option. LiFi might be what they need.

In fact, 5G and WiFi can’t overcome some long-term issues such as congestion and interference. They also run the risk of being hacked. In this regard, LiFi offers military-grade security. Plus, it brings fast and safer performance. So there is every reason to think that it makes WiFi and 5G fall behind.

LiFi has been tested in defense before. It has proven its ability to provide a range of solutions for reliable and secure mission-critical communications. So we can say that this is the next technology to reach large masses after being tested in the defense sector.
