Xiaomi’s Redmi brand has been getting a lot of attraction in the market with its mid-range Note series smartphones. Earlier this year, the company launched three new smartphones in the series: the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. These smartphones received a major price bump compared to their predecessors. The most affordable option in the lineup is the Note 12 5G, which has a starting price of about $220.

Now, it seems that Xiaomi is planning to launch an even more affordable option in the form of the Redmi Note 12 4G. Although the company has not officially confirmed the launch, the phone has been spotted on the Geekbench website, suggesting that its release is imminent.

The Redmi Note 12 4G will be a mid-range model. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone will feature an octa-core Snapdragon processor. The listing also suggests that the phone could get an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 680 found in the Redmi Note 11 4G. This variant has a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz and includes an Adreno 610 GPU. The phone listed on Geekbench has 4GB of RAM. And it is likely to launch with at least 64GB of internal storage.

The Geekbench listing confirms that the Note 12 4G scored 422 points in the single-core test and 1252 points in the multi-core test. The phone will run Android 13 out of the box. And will likely have a layer of MIUI 14 on top of Android.

According to previous leaks, the Note 12 4G will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. With a Full HD+ resolution, refreshing at a 120Hz rate. The phone will also come with a triple-camera setup on the back. Including a 50MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth/macro sensor. On the front, there will be a 13MP camera sensor.

In terms of battery, the phone is to feature a 5000mAh cell with support for 33W fast charging. It will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IR Blaster at the top.

Although Xiaomi has not confirmed the official launch details of the Redmi Note 12 4G, the number of leaks suggests that the budget smartphone from Redmi could launch soon in India and other markets. We will share more details about the same as and when available.
