WhatsApp Text Detection Comes to iOS – Limit Polls to One Choice on Android

WhatsApp Update

Recent updates to WhatsApp’s iOS app include the addition of picture-in-picture video calls. In addition, according to WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned firm is working on two new features which it will release in the future for iOS and Android apps. This feature is Text detection and Limit poll to only one choice.

Another feature of WhatsApp that makes use of iOS 16 APIs has been availed to all users. The option to extract text from within an image is now open in WhatsApp for iOS 23.5.77, which was previously reserved for beta testers.

Open a text-filled image to try this feature; then, look for the new button that appears. You can copy the text directly from the image by clicking this button. To increase privacy, view-once photos are incompatible with this feature, which is only compatible with iOS 16.

Limit poll to only one choice: WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.6.16

By limiting polls to one option, WhatsApp will make it simpler for everyone in the chat to grasp the findings.  Users will now be able to limit poll replies to one option thanks to a toggle that will be added to the poll composer in this version. See the screenshot above for how it will look like.  By doing this, ambiguity and confusion may be averted, and the most popular option can be precisely identified.

While they are currently in development and will be launched in a future update of the app, it is unknown at this time if Limit Poll to only one choice will be available.

With the most recent version, iOS users may now make use of the fresh Text detection feature. When this feature will be available to Android users is still up in the air, though. A new text editor is also being tested by WhatsApp. Another feature that is currently in testing is expiring groups for iOS users.
