Honor Pad V8

Honor finally launched a new tablet, the Honor Pad V8. The new slate went official in China with very compelling specifications and an affordable price tag. As the competition rises in this segment, the Honor tablet comes with neat features like a capable chipset and a large display with a 2.5K resolution. Without further ado, let’s see what this handset has in tow for the market. Interestingly, we already have an Honor Pad V8 Pro. So this is the vanilla version that we’ve been expecting.

Honor Pad V8 features and pricing info

The Honor Pad V8 packs a huge 11-inch Display with a 2.5K resolution. It’s an LCD screen and besides the high resolution and large display to enjoy your content, it also brings 120 Hz of refresh rate. Under the hood, the Honor Pad V8 brings an all-new MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset. Unfortunately, the exact specs of this new chipset are not available yet. However, we will update with more details once it appears. The V8 is on pre-sale, and we should get more details about the CPU soon. Worth noting, that this platform already appeared in previous leaks.

The slate weighs only 485 grams and is quite thin at 7.35 mm. The Honor Pad V8 is currently available in China, but it’s only in the pre-booking phase. In this stage, users need to deposit 100 Yuan. Whenever the device gets available, they will get a 100 Yuan of discount on the final payment. The 128 GB model will sell for about CNY 1,799 whereas the 256GB version will be at CNY 1,899.

The Honor Pad V8 also supports the MagicRing feature, which allows cross-screen interaction and multi-screen collaboration. We assume it works pretty well with the recently-released Honor MagicBook X14 and X16. It also supports remote control by parents and other features available within MagicOS 7 (Android 13). It also has support for the Honor Magic Floating Keyboard and the Honor Magic Pencil 3. Right now, there is no word on international availability. But considering Honor’s recent push on global markets with the Honor Magic5 Pro, we assume this tablet will make a trip to Europe and other markets soon.
