OnePlus Ace 2 Pro arrives in July with 100W charging

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro

OnePlus is committed to establishing its OnePlus Ace series in China. The lineup started last year with the OnePlus Ace and Ace Pro. This year, we had the OnePlus Ace 2 and OnePlus Ace 2V. The company is gearing up to introduce a new OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. The new handset will come in July with 100W charging and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro could be a rebadged Oppo Reno10 Pro+

The OnePlus Ace 2 was a so-called “flagship killer” smartphone ( A term often used for devices that have a flagship-like performance but cost less than flagships). It reached the Chinese market with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, up to 16 GB of RAM, and a 1.5K OLED display. The device was rebadged to OnePlus 11R and reached India. Shortly after the release of the Ace 2, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Ace 2V with the Dimensity 9000, instead of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 80W charging. Now, the brand is preparing the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro for launch. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, this will certainly sit above the Ace 2 and challenge some of the 2023 flagship phones.

Gizchina News of the week

The new leak comes from the tipster Digital Chat Station. As per the tipster, the phone will launch between July and August and will compete with Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra. This is common among OnePlus, Realme, and Oppo smartphones, nowadays. Based on this, the tipster points to 1.5K resolution, 100W fast charging, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. He also states that the phone will arrive between July and August and will compete with Xiaomi’s unreleased Redmi K60 Ultra.

Some of the expected specifications

If the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is a close copy of the Reno10 Pro+ we can already speculate some of its specs. For instance, the device will retain the 6.74-inch AMOLED screen. The display will bring 2,772 x 1,240 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It will boast the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 100W fast charging just like the Reno10 Pro+. Oppo’s phone has this charging speed paired with a 4,700 mAh battery. The handset also brings a 50 MP OIS camera, 64 MP periscope telephoto, and 8 MP ultrawide shooter. I’m not sure if all those specs will be found within the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, but it’s a good starting point for speculation.

The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro should cost less than the OnePlus 11 in China. For now, we will need to wait for official info. Until then, let’s digest these specs with a grain of salt. When it comes to possible global availability, the OnePlus Ace Pro was launched as OnePlus 10T outside of China. So, it’s likely that Ace 2 Pro will become the OnePlus 11T at some point in the year.
