iQOO 11S Coming with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dedicated Display Chip

iQOO is gearing up to introduce the iQOO 11S in the next week. The new variant teased by the company as iQOO 11 Super is being teased by the company through its official Weibo handles.  In addition to these teasers, the phone passed through the Geekbench benchmark with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The Geekbench benchmark shows the phone with its primary core clocked at 3.2 GHz. That’s exactly the same frequency in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. So we can conclude the iQOO 11S is coming to compete with high-end flagships. In fact, the company itself states on Weibo that the iQOO 11S will excel over the first two iQOO 11 flagships. The company teases it as the “world’s first super-computing dedicated display processor”.

Besides standing for “Super”, the “S” in the iQOO 11S also stands for the phone’s new “Super-Vision Technology”, “Super-Resolution”, and “Super-Frame Concurrency”. The teaser images don’t bring the “V2” written on the camera island. That suggests that the phone might lose its proprietary Vivo V2 ISP in favor of the new display chip.  The 11S will pack a 6.78-inch LTPO4 AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it will bring a Quad HD+ resolution with 3,200 x 1,440 pixels.

iQOO will be giving away iQOO 11S units to the eSports competitors that will represent China in the Asian Games

Interestingly, iQOO is also an ongoing ESports Event to promote the new flagship. China has finished the five coaches and 31 athletes who will represent the country in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The event has been postponed due to the surge of COVID-19 last year but is finally drawing near.

iQOO 11S

What the event has in common with iQOO? Well, the brand will give an 11S to each of the selected e-sports players as part of their winning bonuses to prepare for the Games. This particular event is the Asian equivalent of the Olympics, held once every four years. iQOO re-affirms its commitment to the gaming audience and takes the opportunity to tease its upcoming launch.

The iQOO 11S will launch on July 4th, and we expect the brand to keep up with the teasers through the next few days.
