Xiaomi will be officially unveiling the Mix Fold 3 at the August 14th event set to take place in China. Before the official event, the brand teased the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 by revealing a couple of key specifications. However, those official teasers didn’t talk about the chipset that the foldable phone will come with.

Well, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 has just appeared on Geekbench. And this benchmark gave us confirmation on the SoC Xiaomi has utilized for its upcoming foldable device. As you may have guessed, it’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But what’s interesting is that it’s not the regular version of the chipset.

On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy features a prime core that’s clocked at 3.36 GHz. Nonetheless, the Geekbench results show that the phone scores 2071 in single-core and 5419 in multicore tests. These scores are expected from a device with an overclocked 8 Gen 2 or 8+ Gen 2 chipset. Mix Fold 3 also comes with up to 16GB of RAM. So, the phone should deliver flagship-grade performance.
