Microsoft now supports Bing Chat Enterprise Edition in the Windows Copilot preview version. This new feature will allow eligible users to access Bing Chat Enterprise Edition directly from the Windows Copilot panel. But you need to join the Windows Insider developer channel. The Windows Insider team said today that some Insiders in the Beta channel may also get the feature.

Bing Chat Enterprise is already available for Microsoft 365 users on and in the Edge sidebar. However, to access it, you will need an IT admin to enable it. This version offers better and stronger data privacy than the regular Bing Chat. In this version, the company do not keep users’ query or answer. It does not also use that info to train its own large language model .

“For your staff, the experience will be very similar to the existing Bing Chat — the brand becomes Bing Chat for business, with reminders every time they ask a question and personal and company data is protected.” Windows Insider team explained.

With the Windows Copilot preview, Windows 11 is getting a new AI assistant that can use Bing Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot from the desktop. Soon, Windows Copilot will also be able to connect with third-party services through plugins. Windows Copilot is expected to roll out to all users this fall with Windows 11’s 23H2 update. At the moment, it is being tested in the Beta channel. Microsoft will hold an event on Sept. 22 to discuss its latest AI trends. This may be a good time to hear more about Windows Copilot.
