vivo X100 Series Goes Global Next Week

The new flagship series from vivo has had a successful launch in China. Called the vivo X100 series, the new devices bring a lot of improvements over the predecessor. To be exact, they are the pioneer of the brand-new Dimensity flagship SoC.

In addition to featuring the latest and greatest flagship SoC from MediaTek, the new vivo X100 lineup brings superior camera performance. And there’s a piece of good news for those who were waiting for the global debut. The new smartphones are making their way to the international markets on December 14, which is next week.

If you’ve missed our original coverage on the vivo X100 Series, one of the key standouts of the device is the Dimensity 9300 SoC. It’s the latest flagship from MediaTek, which makes a major performance leap over its predecessor. You can get both the X100 and X100 Pro with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

When it comes to the differences, the vivo X100 has a slightly different camera setup than the X100 Pro. On the Pro variant, the primary camera is a 50 MP 1/1.49″ sensor. It’s paired with a 50 MP 100 mm periscope telephoto sensor that can offer 4.3x optical zoom.

The standard version, on the other hand, has a 50 MP 1/1.49″ sensor as the primary camera. It packs a 64 MP 70mm periscope telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom capability. Both the vivo X100 devices have the same 50 MP f/2.0 sensor as the ultra-wide lens.

Other than that, the battery and charging features are a bit different. The standard vivo X100 packs a 5000 mAh cell that can charge at 120 watts in the wired mode. It doesn’t have support for wireless charging. The Pro version comes with a 5400 mAh cell that charges at 100 watts in the wired mode and 50 watts in the wireless mode.
