Realme GT Neo 6 SE Goes Official With 6000-nits display


Realme GT Neo 6 SE has been a part of the rumor mill for quite some time now. Finally, the Chinese company has officially revealed its new smartphone. It is an all-rounder device with an impressive set of features and also an affordable price tag. In this article, we will cover all the necessary details you need to know regarding the device.

At first glance, the Realme’s new offering looks sleek and stylish. It does not appear cheap at all. There are three cutouts on the rear side housing the cameras and LED flash. There are two color options Silver and Green, which look attractive. The smartphone is light with only 191g of weight. Furthermore, the phone also gets IP65 dust and water resistance.

To begin, the Realme GT Neo 6 SE has exceptional display specifications. It has a 6.78-inch flexible OLED panel with a resolution of  2780 x 1264 pixels. The highlight here is the peak brightness of 6000 nits thanks to the integration of the BOE’s S1 luminescent material. Do note that the 6000 nits will only be utilized in special cases such as HDR content. For normal usage, the phone will have a maximum brightness of 1600 nits.

Moving to other highlights of the display, the GT Neo 6 SE has a 120Hz refresh rate, 2500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. For protection, the company has utilized the Corning Gorilla Victus 2. Realme has integrated Greenfield AI and AI gaming eye protection technologies, providing an industry-first active eye protection solution.

Camera

There are two rear camera sensors on the back of the Realme GT Neo 6 SE. The primary one is the 50MP Sony IMX882 with OIS. While there is also an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front side, there is a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie shooter.

Powering the smartphone is the latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. This is a new capable processor from Qualcomm and has fancy AI features. To keep the processor cool under load, Realme has integrated a heat dissipation system. Moreover, the company has further added multiple gaming modes such as GT Mode 5.0, Geek Performance Panel 2.0, and also Burning Mode. These modes have different use cases and are specially designed for mobile gamers.

Coming to the battery segment, our protagonist gets a 5500mAh battery that can be fast charged at 100W. The company claims that it can charge 50% battery in just 12 minutes. The Realme phone has some other great features too. For example, it has an IR blaster, which is not present in most of the smartphones. The phone also has an AI assistant that can help users with different tasks such as translation and call summaries.

The Realme GT Neo 6 SE has four variants. The 8/256GB model comes at 1,699 yuan (~$234), the 12/256GB at 1,899 yuan (~$262), 16/256GB at 2,099 yuan (~$290), and the 16/512GB at 2,399 yuan (~$331). The phone will be available for purchase in China starting on April 17.
