realme is back with two new contenders in the mid-range arena, and they’re not holding back on specs. The company officially launched the realme 15 5G and realme 15 Pro 5G in India today, rolling out the devices with flagship-level features at prices aimed at the everyday user.
Let’s start with the hardware. Both phones feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a snappy 144Hz refresh rate and an eye-searing 6,500 nits peak local brightness—no, that’s not a typo. The panel is curved (4D curved, to be specific) and boasts a 1.5K resolution, a 94% screen-to-body ratio, and nearly invisible 1.72mm bottom bezels. The screen tech comes courtesy of BOE, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Under the hood, there’s a notable split. The standard realme 15 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ chip, while the 15 Pro 5G becomes the first phone in India to ship with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. Both get up to 12GB RAM, with support for up to 14GB virtual RAM thanks to realme UI’s memory expansion.
And yes, they both stay cool. realme is using a 7,000mm² vapor chamber cooling system across the board.
Cameras Get a Serious Upgrade
On the camera front, realme went heavy on Sony sensors. Both phones carry a 50MP main sensor with OIS—either the IMX882 or the IMX896, depending on the model. On the front, you’ll find another 50MP sensor, capable of up to 4K video.
The Pro version is where things get more serious. It includes a second 50MP ultra-wide camera—a first for a realme phone—along with support for 4K 60fps video and HDR capture on the main sensor. Meanwhile, the standard 15 5G settles for an 8MP ultra-wide.
AI and Software: Smarter Features, Voice Editing
Both phones boot Android 15 with realme UI 6.0 out of the box and will receive two major Android updates and three years of security patches.
realme is also pushing smart features pretty hard this time. There’s MagicGlow 2.0 for AI-optimized portrait lighting and Party Mode that auto-applies filters and effects based on the scene. One standout is Edit Genie—a voice-activated editing assistant that supports 20+ languages and can handle background swaps, glare correction, and apply filters on command.
Battery and Build: Big Power, Surprisingly Light
Both models pack a 7000mAh “Titan” battery, delivering a high energy density of 813Wh/L. Despite the monster battery, the phones stay slim—just 7.66mm thick, and weigh only 187 grams. Charging is handled by 80W SuperVOOC, which should get you back to 100% in a flash.
Rounding out the spec sheet: IP68 and IP69 water/dust resistance, stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio, an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB-C audio, and 5G with wide band support. There’s also infrared, so yes, it doubles as a remote.
Colours, Pricing, and Availability
The realme 15 5G comes in Silk Pink, Velvet Green, and Flowing Silver. The 15 Pro 5G gets a more premium palette: Silk Purple, Velvet Green, and Flowing Silver as well.
