LG G7 ThinQ official renders and specs leak, corroborates rumored design and features

LG G7 THINQ

While we wait for LG to officially unwrap the 7th generation of its G series of smartphones, we’ll continue fielding some influx of rumored leaks and renders. Today, just hours before the unveiling of the most awaited LG G7 ThinQ, we have a couple of official renders of the device form WinFuture which corroborates some of its design, rumored features and few specs.

Evidently, the LG G7 ThinQ with the model number LM-G710 will come with the iPhone-x like display notch as confirmed by some of the official renders seen below. While that isn’t exactly groundbreaking, considering there are more than enough copycat phones from China with the dreaded notch, we got to know recently that it might come with a setting called New Second Screen, which allows you to toggle this on and off and even enable virtual rounded corners on the display below the notch.

Another thing that these official renders reveal is the presence of a dual rear camera setup. While previous rumors claim the rear camera will be a dual 16MP sensor, Winfuture has it on good authority that LG will be adopting the F / 1.6 aperture here, but it is not certain if it will retain the wide-angle lens or embrace the longer telephoto solutions for advanced portraiture.

The leaked renders also corroborate previous rumors which say the device will come with a dedicated hardware button specifically for Google’s digital assistant, but we are not sure if or not it is customizable.

Gizchina News of the week

There are certainly a few of the G7 ThinQ specs and features that we are unaware of, and which we might probably not know until it is made official. LG had earlier confirmed the G7 ThinQ will come with a 6.1-inch IPS display with 3120×1440 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. The choice of the LCD over OLED display according to LG is to enable it to achieve a Super Bright Display and peak brightness of 1,000 nits. This brightness of 1,000 nits will allow you use the LG G7 ThinQ under direct sunlight hassle free. This isn’t groundbreaking, though, as the flagship Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus already surpassed that figure with its 1,1000 nits.

The G7 ThinQ will reportedly have the Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and will come packed with a non-removable 3000mAh battery which charges over a USB-C port with Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0.

LG mobile in a recent teaser has said the LG G7 ThinQ Audio output should be more than ten times the loudness ever seen in any flagship devices including the Galaxy S9 duo, all thanks to the new  Boombox Speaker.

The device will be unveiled on May 2 in Newyork and on May 3rd in Seoul, so stick around for more information such as confirmed Specs, Pricing, and availability.
