Honor Magic 2 with key specs shows up on Geekbench

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor is expected to unwrap the Honor Magic 2 in about 48Hrs from now, and that means we should be seeing more leaks about the device in the meantime. Right on cue, an unnamed Honor made smartphone has just popped up on the Geekbench database with specs that aligns it with the rumoured Honor Magic 2.

The alleged Honor Magic shows up in the database as the Huawei TNY-AL00 with SoC details that point to the Huawei’s latest Kirin 980 coupled with 8GB of RAM, and Android 9.0 Pie as the operating system. Interestingly, the single-core and multi-core scores revealed here are both not too far from the scores of the mate 20 series, with the differences likely due to the prototype hardware. The Honor Magic 2 is expected to be the second device to debut with the Kirin 980 SoC, so they are both expected too to put forward similar performance scores.

A whole lot has been revealed about the Honor Magic 2, with the latest being that the device will launch with Yoyo – the Honor solution for a voice assistant. However, the ‘YoYo’ voice assistant should be more advanced than the Mi Mix 3 Xiao AI, as it will be able to speak English.

Watched the video with the AI Assistant and it sounds cool and funky! Look forward to another slider coming to market. More competition means better products for all consumers. Hope this phone comes to North America, atleast through Amazon, like other Honor phones, with Global bands and support!
