Honor future plans

According to a previous report, Honor will release its first true super flagship after splitting from Huawei this July. It is quite clear that it will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Recall that in January this year, Honor introduced the flagship smartphone Honor V40; but its platform (MediaTek Dimensity 1000+) cannot be called truly flagship. As previously reported, Honor currently receives Snapdragon 888, Dimensity 1100, Dimensity 1200 and many other platforms from vendors. The company will be releasing the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition, Honor 40S, Honor 10C, Honor X20 and Honor 40 soon.

Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will be based on MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. On the front, it will have a cut into the central upper part of the screen. From the back, the device looks exactly like the Huawei Nova 8 5G. As already announced, the device will be officially unveiled on March 23 via an online broadcast.

Sources add that the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will support 65W fast charging and a 3800mAh battery. The display will support a refresh rate of 90 Hz; and the fingerprint sensor will be located under the surface of the screen.

Back at the end of last year, Zhao Ming, the company’s CEO, announced that the company would launch a superflagman in the future, and would also have counterparts in the Huawei Mate and Huawei P series.

Honor gained independence from Huawei at the end of last year. In addition, Honor hopes to surpass its former parent company.
