The Nubia Red Magic 9 Pro was the latest contender from the brand to reach the gaming smartphone scene. The device was launched in China last month and made its global debut last week. Now, the new gaming smartphone is up for pre-orders for international markets through Nubia’s Global website. Thanks to it we finally know how much the gaming phone will cost. Nubia is trying to attract buyers with an early bird offer. They can pre-book the Nubia Red Magic 9 Pro until January 2, 2024, by spending $1/€1 and get a discount voucher worth $30/€30. It will also let them buy the smartphone a day before the actual release on January 3, 2024.

The Nubia Red Magic 9 Pro will sell in three versions. Namely, they are Sleet, Cyclone, and Snowfall. The Sleet is priced at $649/€649 and has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage onboard. The Cyclone and Snowfall cost $799/€799 and will come with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage.  Under the hood, the 9 Pro boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and boots Android 14-based Red Magic OS 9.

The gaming smartphone is equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 2,480 x 1,116 pixels of resolution. One of its major highlights is the huge 6,500 mAh battery complete with 80W charging. This capacity is fairly large for most of the smartphone standards. Considering it’s a gaming smartphone, it will grant long hours of gameplay without having to charge the phone. The fast charging tech will also ensure charging will be quick whenever you need to replenish the load.

The Red Magic 9 Pro also brings decent camera performance. There is no advanced zoom with a periscope telephoto camera, but you will still get the useful combination. We have a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultrawide shooter, a 2 MP macro, and a 16 MP selfie snapper. It’s a great smartphone for gaming purposes and further affirms Nubia’s presence and intent to keep investing in this field.
