A new leak has surfaced online, shedding more light on
HMD’s upcoming smartphone, the
Pulse 2 Pro. The information was shared on X by
leaker
@smashx_60 and includes both an image and a rundown of the phone’s main
features. From what’s been revealed so far, the Pulse 2 Pro looks set to focus
on a large display, capable cameras, and familiar features many users still
care about.
Design
and Build Quality
The
HMD Pulse 2 Pro is expected to stick with a simple,
no-nonsense design. It will reportedly launch in three colour options: Midnight
Black, Glacier Green, and Twilight Purple. These shades give buyers a mix of
safe and more playful choices. The phone is also said to come with an IP52
rating, meaning it should be protected against light dust and small water
splashes, such as light rain or accidental spills.
Display
and Battery Life
Up front, the Pulse 2 Pro is expected to come with a big
6.72-inch IPS screen. It should have a sharp 1080p+ resolution and a 90Hz
refresh rate, so scrolling through apps and menus feels smoother than usual.
The phone is also said to pack a 5000mAh battery, which should easily get most
people through a full day on a single charge. Charging is rumoured to top out
at 20W, not the fastest around, but good enough for normal daily use.
Performance
and Storage Options
The phone is expected to run on the Unisoc Tiger T7250
chip. It’s built on a 12nm process with eight cores, two for performance and
the rest for efficiency. It’s not built for hardcore gaming, but it should be
more than fine for everyday things like chatting, watching videos, and browsing
the internet. The phone is expected to launch in three memory versions,
offering 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Features
and Connectivity
HMD appears to be keeping things practical. The Pulse 2 Pro
is said to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking. It
will also support NFC for contactless payments and still keep the 3.5mm
headphone jack, which many users continue to appreciate.
Camera
Setup
Cameras are another strong point based on the leak. On the
back, the phone is said to come with a 50MP main camera that has image
stabilisation, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Up front, there’s expected
to be a 50MP selfie camera for sharp photos and clear video calls.
HMD hasn’t shared any details yet on price or launch plans,
but with these leaks popping up, an official reveal likely isn’t too far away.
