The upcoming
HMD Pulse 2 Pro has
been revealed in a new leak, giving us a first proper look at the smartphone.
According to
reports, the device will be released in October and will feature
several upgrades compared to the original
HMD Pulse Pro.
Images of the phone show a
refreshed design, and the leak confirms it will be available in two colour
options when it launches.
Bigger,
Smoother Display and storage options
The Pulse 2 Pro’s screen got an
upgrade and will feature a 6.72-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, a
120Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations much smoother.
All these
improvements show that
HMD is going all out to provide its fans with the best
user experience possible.
The device, powered by the Unisoc
T7250 processor, is expected to come in three storage versions.
It will have 6GB RAM with
128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
This gives users the freedom to choose devices that suit their budget.
Decent Photography
In the camera department, the Pulse 2 Pro
will feature two cameras on the rear.
It will have a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation
for sharper pictures, and a secondary 2MP sensor.
On the front, there will be a
50MP selfie camera, which is an unusual but welcome feature for this price
range.
The battery size of this device will
be similar to that of its predecessor, which has a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 20W charging.
For connectivity, this mobile phone comes with dual-band Wi-Fi and
4.5G connectivity, and has an IP54 rating.
Software and
Updates
HMD Pulse 2 Pro is expected to come with Android 15.
This will make it one of the first mid-range devices to come with the new version of the
operating system.
It is also expected to get three years of software support and
updates as promised by HMD.
As we draw closer to the official
launch in October, fans expect the HMD Pulse 2 Pro to outmatch its predecessor
in terms of quality of display, better camera, and build quality.
But we won’t
know for sure until after the launch.
