Honor’s next book-style foldable could bring a bigger inner screen, new camera hardware and a larger battery. A new leak claims the Honor Magic V7 will have an 8.15-inch foldable display, a 50MP main camera and a battery larger than 6,000mAh. The phone is still in development, so these details are not final.

Honor Magic V7 could have a bigger screen

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the Magic V7 will feature a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8.15-inch inner screen with ultra-thin glass (UTG). That would make the inner display larger than the 7.95-inch panel on the current Magic V6. The outer screen, meanwhile, would be slightly smaller than the V6’s 6.52-inch display.

The difference may look small on paper, but a larger inner screen could give users more room for apps, documents and multitasking. Honor will need to keep the phone easy to handle when folded, too.

A new 50MP main camera

The leak also points to a 50MP main camera using SmartSens’ SC595 sensor, which measures 1/1.28 inches. The prototype is said to include a variable aperture and RYYB technology, along with a periscope zoom camera rated at around 50MP.
These details sound promising, especially for a foldable phone. However, the sensor and lens specifications alone do not tell us how well the camera will perform. Image processing and the final hardware will matter just as much.

A bigger battery and a new chip

The Magic V7 is also tipped to pack a battery larger than 6,000mAh and a next-generation flagship processor. Honor has not named the chip, but the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series is one possibility. The Magic V6 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Honor announced the Magic V6 in March 2026, so its successor could arrive around the same time in 2027. For now, the company has not confirmed the Magic V7 or its launch date.
I think the camera and battery upgrades could be just as important as the larger screen. Foldables are already useful for work and multitasking, but better battery life and more capable cameras would make them easier to use as everyday phones.
