Honor WIN 2 Set to Get a 12,000mAh Battery, WIN Pad a 240Hz Display

Honor is preparing the second generation of its gaming-focused WIN lineup, along with a compact companion tablet called the WIN Pad.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the new phone, carrying the codename Barrett, has appeared in registration records across three separate models. Both devices are expected to be unveiled in October, though official confirmation from Honor is still missing. Exact specifications could therefore still change.

The battery is drawing the most attention. The engineering sample reportedly has a capacity of approximately 12,000mAh, meaning this is still a preliminary figure rather than the final number for the retail device. An earlier leak from August cited a rated cell capacity of 11,790mAh and a typical value of 12,000mAh. It's worth noting that Honor already introduced the X80 Pro Max in June with an 11,000mAh battery, so this kind of jump in battery size isn't entirely surprising for the company.

The phone is expected to feature a large cooling fan along with an extensive vapor chamber. Active cooling is a useful addition for gaming phones, though it typically increases both thickness and weight, something the leaker did not comment on. Honor uses distinctly gaming-styled names for its color variants, which do not yet have official English translations.

The existence of three models is also suggested by network certifications. Devices carrying the model numbers BRT-AN00, BRM-AN00, and BRS-AN00 have already gone through registration, and according to IT Home, they likely relate specifically to the WIN 2 series. Earlier leaks pointed to a flat 6.89-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and a very high refresh rate of up to 185Hz, while a lower-tier variant is said to offer a 1.5K panel instead.

The WIN Pad is expected to feature an approximately 8.4-inch OLED display with a camera cutout and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Inside, it's set to house a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with active cooling. The tablet will reportedly come in two color options, black and silver. The leaker themselves questioned whether the fan can keep such a powerful chip adequately cooled over extended use. For additional context, earlier leaks also mentioned a possible "WIN Pad Mini" naming.

Honor has already listed the tablet on its Chinese Honor Mall storefront, though specific specifications have not yet been revealed. Based on leaks so far, the WIN Pad will likely only be available in a Wi-Fi-only variant. International availability and pricing remain unknown for now.
