China Mobile picks five companies to supply 500 5G base stations

Chinese manufacturing giants. Huawei and ZTE are two of the leading Chinese companies in 5G technology. Ironically, these companies are under severe scrutiny by many governments especially the US. However, their 5G capacity is not under doubt but the US government believes that these companies report to the Chinese government - a report that is yet to be verified. Nevertheless, the relevance of Huawei and ZTE in China is still top-class and it reflected as China Mobile announced the list of companies to supply 500 of its 5G base stations.

China Mobile announced Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson, Nokia, and Datang as the five companies that will provide its 500 5G base stations for now. The sharing formula shows the relevance of Huawei in China. Among them, China Mobile said that Huawei will produce 50% of the base stations (250 stations) while ZTE will provide 5G 80 base stations. Ericsson, Nokia, and Datang will provide 110, 30 and 30 5G base stations respectively. It is reported that the project leases 5G test network wireless main equipment, as well as supporting antennas, corresponding software, OMC-R, various auxiliary materials tools, and corresponding services.
